A small mature forested public reserve borders
the property to the east in an otherwise suburban setting. The main beach is a
5-minute 
walk from the house.

non-smoking household. SKY TV in room. Safe, convenient off-street parking.
Located 2 blocks from Crickets is a reasonably stocked grocery
store and public laundry. It is a short drive from the Abel Tasman National
park and Takaka, the largest town in the area, which hosts such amenities as a
movie theatre, large grocery store, banks, post office, art galleries, some
great restaurants and the like. The city of Nelson lies 110 km and an hour and
three-quarters away.

Bay View room:
A large north-facing
(sunny) bedroom (4.5m x 3.5m) with a comfortable queen sized bed and private
sitting area. Convenient access to shared bathroom facilities. This room is
equipped with Sky TV and has a modest view of the bay.

Getting here:
Crickets is in Pohara, a short 9 km drive from
the main town of Takaka. Upon arrival at the general store in Pohara (there’s
only 1 – you really can’t miss it!) drive up the hill and turn left on Bay
Vista Drive – Crickets is the second house on the right. Watch for the signs across
from the Pohara Store on Richmond Road and on the fence on Bay Vista Drive.
Car Rentals: Available from both Nelson and Takaka
Buses: The Kahurangi Bus (03 525 9434) and Abel Tasman Coachlines (03 528
8850 Motueka, 03 548 0285 Nelson) have
daily links with Nelson and the Golden Bay area.
Buses connect with Nelson Airport for
your convenience.
